Dr Krupashankar D S, Senior Consultant Dermatologist authored the chapter on “Current unmet needs in psoriasis” in the prestigious book Psoriasis Evidence -Based Diagnosis and Treatment, published by Springer Health.

On 26th October 2025, Dr K Anumanthayya, Senior Consultant Dermatologist gave an oration lecture at 91st MEDICON KISHKINDA 2025, hosted by IMA Gangavathi.

On 13th July 2025, World Doctors Day celebration was observed. As is our tradition to honour the senior dermatologist and immediate past president, we honoured Dr Bangaru H. Also, Dr Devakumar Indra and Dr Akbar Sait were honoured for their contribution to MDS.

On 17th September 2025, Dr Girish M S, Consultant Dermatologist received the P M Modi vision of Bharat Award 2025, in recognition of his excellent and inspirational work.

On 2nd October, Dr Girish M S, Consultant Dermatologist received Gandhi International Peace Award 2025, on the 156th birth anniversary of Father of Nation Mahatma Gandhi.

Dr Prabhakar M Sangolli, professor and Head of the Department, Sri Siddhartha Institute of Medical Sciences, T. Begur, Bengaluru was felicitated by Tumakuru Dermatologist Society on 27th of October 2024. He delivered a lecture on "Recent Advances in Hair Care Treatment”.

Dr. Madura C, Chief Hair Transplant Surgeon and Dermatosurgeon, CUTIS Academy delivered the “Dr. SHIVAKUMAR & Dr. RAJENDRAN ORATION” at CUTICON KN-2024, held at Chitradurga from 8th to 10th November 2024

Dr Chandan and Dr Sudheer, postgraduates from BMCRL, won FIRST prize IN State Level QUIZ held during CUTICON KN-2024 held at Chitradurga from 8th to 10th November 2024.

Dr S Sacchidanand was awarded as “DOYEN OF DERMATOLOGY” during DERMAZONE - South Conference at Chennai on 16th November 2024.

Dr. B S Chandrashekar, Senior Consultant Dermatologist, CUTIS Academy delivered the “Prof. Dr. A K Bajaj Oration” at DERMACON 2025 held in Jaipur from 6th to 9th February 2025.

The Department of Dermatology, BMCRL headed by Dr. Shilpa K, professor & HOD, was awarded the “BEST DEPARTMENT AWARD" at CUTICON KN-2024 held in Chitradurga from 8th to 10th November 2024.

Dr Jayadev Betkerur, Senior Dermatologist, was felicitated with “IADVL LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD” at DERMACON 2025 held in Jaipur from 6th to 9th February 2025.
